Construction Apprenticeships
Construction is the process of building, maintaining, repairing, and improving residential, commercial, and industrial properties. It encompasses a wide range of specialist trades, including brickwork, carpentry, drylining, and property maintenance, all of which play a vital role in creating safe, modern, and functional spaces. Whether constructing structural walls and timber frameworks, fitting doors and staircases, installing internal partitions, or carrying out repairs and maintenance, construction professionals combine technical knowledge with practical skills to bring buildings to life and keep them operating safely.
Studying construction as an apprenticeship allows you to gain practical, hands-on experience in a real working environment while developing valuable skills in using specialist tools, interpreting technical drawings, working to precise measurements, and solving real-world problems across a variety of trades. It’s an ideal route if you enjoy practical, physical work, want to build a highly skilled career in a high-demand industry, and prefer earning while learning towards a recognised qualification.

Our Current Apprenticeships
Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship
Bricklayers are found in both the new build and refurbishment sectors of the construction industry. Projects vary in size, scale, and duration, ranging from the repair of a garden wall to new build housing and large-scale commercial projects such as office blocks, hospitals and retail developments. Employers and contractors of bricklayers vary in size from small, local family building companies to major home builders and commercial contractors. Bricklayers sometimes choose to specialise in certain types of projects and go on to become masters in their field. Examples include refurbishment work, new build homes or commercial works. There is growing demand for Bricklayers to help meet the need for new homes. This apprenticeship is ideal if you’re looking to enter these roles and earn while you learn.
Level 3 Craft Bricklayer Apprenticeship
Bricklayers are found in both the new build and refurbishment sectors of the construction industry. Projects vary in size, scale, and duration, rranging from the creation of specialist features such as arches and chimneys for a domestic customer to the repair of a listed building to a large-scale commercial project utilising multiple facework types, techniques and materials. Employers of craft bricklayers vary in size from small companies to large commercial contractors. Craft bricklayers are masters in their field and often provide technical leadership and supervise the work of others. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the masonry element of the construction programme is delivered to specification, time and in a safe and sustainable manner – typically working outdoors on construction sites, in most weathers and at height.
Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship
The construction industry is central to creating the homes, schools, hospitals, energy and transport infrastructure society needs. There is growing demand for carpenters and joiners to help meet the need for the transition to modern methods of construction and sustainability. This apprenticeship is ideal if you’re looking to enter these roles and earn while you learn.
Level 2 Interior Systems Installer (Drylining)
Interior Systems Installers are found in the Construction and Built Environment industry, including new-build, renovation and refurbishment. On this apprenticeship, you’ll follow the Drylining Systems Pathway. This will involve installing different drylining systems that form the walls and rooms within a building, often used to hide wires and pipes whilst improving acoustics and create space for insulation.
Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship
Property Maintenance Operatives are found in the construction and built environment sector, where properties across numerous industries and sectors require maintenance to keep them in a safe working condition, and to optimise their quality or performance.
The broad purpose of your role as a Property Maintenance Operative Apprentice is to conduct the general day-to-day maintenance required to keep a range of properties in a good state of repair. You’ll conduct routine maintenance tasks and minor planned and responsive repair works, maintaining the highest level of quality whilst considering sustainability and environmental choices, and will record and report information collected using a range of techniques.
