Our Hairdressing and Barbering courses allow students to learn key cutting, styling and colouring techniques, gaining proficiency in both classic and contemporary hairstyling. The Beauty Therapy provision focuses on make-up, skincare and various spa treatments, enabling students to start their career with a wide range of skills. Our Media Make-Up courses introduce students to the art of creating makeup looks for photography, film and television, emphasising the importance of precision and creativity in the entertainment industry.

Facilities and equipment

Our hairdressing and barbering courses are run on-site at our Ware campus within the Inspires Our hair and media make-up courses are run at our Ware campus where students have access to the Inspires Hair & Beauty Salon, a live working environment with real clients.

Additional information

Hairdressing & Barbering: Whether you want to work in a salon or barbershop, or start your own business, we can teach you the fundamental skills needed to succeed in the hair sector. You’ll learn how to cut, style, colour, and treat all hair types including Afro and textured hair, and for those studying barbering, master techniques including shaving and beard grooming.

Hair & Media Makeup: If you are looking for a fulfilling and exciting way to showcase your creativity, our Hair & Media Make-Up courses enable you to explore the world of beauty, styling and special effects. You’ll learn essential techniques for hair styling, makeup application, and creating looks for fashion, film, TV, and theatre.
