Proficiency in English and Maths is often a key requirement for many job opportunities, further study and training. We can support you to achieve these qualifications through two options: Functional Skills (Level 1) and GCSE (Level 2). Courses are taught in a relaxed and friendly environment and are available on a flexible basis, allowing you to fit studying around your existing schedule.
English students will learn skills in comprehension, evaluation, comparison, writing structure and creative writing. They will be given the opportunity to explore a wide variety of texts and themes in classes, as well as exploring the use of English in genres ranging from historical texts to modern crime novels. Maths students will focus on topics including percentage and fraction calculations, currency conversion, algebra, geometry and probability.
