HRC Creative & Enterprise Open Exhibition 2025 – Visit this February

Open Exhibition Poster

We are now just two weeks away from the start of the 2025 HRC Open Exhibition!

Featuring artists and designers across varied age and ability, we’re excited to welcome you into our stunning gallery space, The David Gentleman Gallery, situated in the heart of our Ware campus. Open to the public for four weeks, from 3rd to 28th February 2025, our Biennial Open Exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of local work, curated by our Art & Design department, alongside KGKGenix and Mtec, who are proudly sponsoring our highly anticipated Open Exhibition.

KGKGenix

KGKGenix, a leading retail design agency, and long-time partner of HRC, will be sponsoring the commendation awards. The company recently collaborated with our Art & Design department to create and deliver a live brief for our FdA Visual Merchandising and BA (Hons) Visual Merchandising, Styling and Promotion students, supporting them at every stage of the project with the relevant guidance and materials. This collaboration ultimately led to the opportunity for a number of those students to complete work experience with KGKGenix over the summer, with the possibility of a full-time position.

KGKGenix have also donated off-cut materials to our Art & Design department, as part of their drive to sustainably upcycle high-quality waste materials, in partnership with schools and colleges. These high-quality materials allow education providers to offer their students the chance to test and develop prototypes to a higher standard than previously possible.

“We are delighted to be working with HRC to sponsor and support this exhibition. It’s incredibly important for us to invest time and energy into supporting the next generation, and we can’t wait to see all the submissions. We’ve worked with and supported HRC extensively over the past year, and we trust that this relationship will continue to nurture new talent and creativity into the new year”.

Additionally, Mtec representatives are honoured to be able join the Selection Panel, bringing their expertise to the judging process.

This partnership underscores Mtec’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community and nurturing emerging talent, with aspirations for further support and collaboration in the future.

“At Mtec Fine Art, we are passionate about fostering creativity and supporting the development of creative talent in our community. Our sponsorship of Hertford Regional College’s Open Exhibition reflects our core values of collaboration, excellence, and community engagement.

We are excited to not only celebrate outstanding achievements through sponsoring the ‘Best in Show’ award for Emerging Artist, but also to strengthen our relationship with the college. We hope this marks the beginning of a long-lasting partnership, allowing us to work together in inspiring and empowering the next generation of artists and creatives.”

The exhibition will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am to 4pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday 8th February from 10am to 2pm, by appointment only, closing 28th February.
