Hertford Regional College is delighted to announce that we have been approved as a test centre for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Operatives Test. The CSCS card is recognised across the construction industry, providing evidence for individuals working on UK construction sites that they have completed the required level of training.

The college’s test centre is based at our Broxbourne campus, and is open to students, employers, and members of the wider community. Richard Roberts, Director of Apprenticeships and Commercial Development, commented, “We have developed the CSCS test centre in direct response to an identified need from local employers and stakeholders, and with support from the Broxbourne Strategic Partnership for Skills and Broxbourne Council. We are excited to be able to support local people into employment.”

Harry O’Connor, Level 3 Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction T Level.

Harry O’Connor, pictured above, was our first student to take the test in the new centre and passed at the first attempt. Harry is studying our Level 3 Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction T Level course, and will be starting his industry placement later this month for Bowmer + Kirkland.

For more information regarding the test centre, or to book a CSCS test, please contact us by email cscs@hrc.ac.uk or call 01992 411476.
