Why choose us?

Our university-level programmes are great if you are looking for Higher Education after finishing sixth form or college, or if you are looking for a career change. These courses are well suited for those who prefers small class sizes and want to study locally.

University-Level courses offered at HRC

A full-time two-year programme, covering levels 4 and 5. These qualifications focus on building your experience via ‘learning by doing’ opportunities. After successfully completing a HND, many students then choose to complete a year at a university to top-up their qualification to a full honours degree.

We offer three Top-Up Degrees which is the final year (Level 6) of an undergraduate degree course. The Top-Up year allows students who have a Foundation Degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification, to top up their existing qualification to a full BA(Hons) degree.

We have a selection of part-time Teacher Training qualification, some of which are validated by the University of Huddersfield.

These qualifications have been created with employers to develop your practical skills in a specific industry sector. After successfully completing a Foundation Degree, many students then choose to complete a year at a university to top-up their qualification to a full honours degree.

The Extended Science Degree is designed as a preparatory year to enable students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills needed to progress onto the first year of many of science undergraduate degrees at the University of Hertfordshire.
