Pay My Student is an online software portal used by colleges, schools and training providers to manage and process student financial support, bursaries, and hardship funds.
Applications for the 2026/27 academic year are open from 1st August 2026.

Register on our Pay My Student portal to create an account and password.

3 – Enter a password
4 – Confirm your password
5 – Click the ‘Register’ button
Once you have registered you will receive an activation email to the personal email address you have provided to us.
You will need to verify your details by clicking on the link at the bottom of the email. This will take you to the Pay My Student login page where you can continue with your application.

We aim to contact you within 20 working days of receiving your fully completed application to confirm whether you qualify for bursary.
We will get in touch if we need to see paper copies of your documents. Please make sure that all images are complete and show all of the relevant information before you upload them to your application.
Yes, each student must apply every year that they attend College, we have to check your circumstances have not changed and you still meet the funding criteria.

After answering the questions in the application, you will be told which documents are needed. Please make sure that any images are complete before you upload them to your application, as incomplete images will delay your application being assessed.
Students are asked to provide bank account details for any refunds or direct payments to be processed.
If you are under 20 years of age at the start of your course, you can apply for childcare support through the Care to Learn scheme – Care to Learn: Overview – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
When you apply for a course you will automatically be sent a student number which will be on the letters and emails that we have sent you. Check your email confirmation and if you still cannot see your number, call us on the number below.
If you have a student number but are having difficulties getting access, please call us on 01992 411411 and we will be happy to help.
To activate your account, we need to have an email address for you on our system – this will be the email you provided when you applied to the College. Email/telephone with your details if you need us to check if we have an email address recorded for you. If you still cannot register, let us know and we will investigate further.
You will still have access to your application, so if changes need to be made, please login to your account and update as appropriate.
You have the right to appeal. Any appeal must be made within seven working days of being advised of the decision. Your appeal must be in writing. You can email your appeal to: paymystudent@hrc.ac.uk
