This NOCN Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry Diploma is an industry-recognised qualification for learners who want to develop advanced site carpentry skills and progress within the construction industry.
You’ll build on your existing knowledge through a combination of practical workshop activities and classroom-based learning, preparing you for skilled employment, apprenticeships or further study.
The programme is delivered over two days per week at college, alongside a minimum of one day per week in an industry work placement with an employer, giving you valuable real-world experience and helping you develop the skills employers are looking for.
The course focuses on advanced site carpentry skills, including complex first and second fixing, structural carcassing, and the installation and maintenance of building components. You’ll develop the technical knowledge, practical expertise and professional behaviours required by employers across the construction sector.
On successful completion, you can progress into employment as a Site Carpenter, move into supervisory or team leader roles, or continue onto higher-level construction qualifications.
