We’ve developed a 10 week programme giving students a total of 20 hours learning (covering a range of skills, including food, hygiene and knife safety) with a qualified tutor. The aim is to excite, develop and nurture young talent. As a college who offer catering as a full time option for school leavers, we have a responsibility to develop skills and train the next generation of chefs to enter an industry which, currently, has a major skills shortage and is in great need of new talent to carry the industry forward. Hertford Regional College develops student confidence, life and social skills that will empower them to cook and eat healthily. Completing this course will demonstrate the operations within a professional kitchen and will give the learner an insight into a future career within a catering environment.
