This course allows students to develop their technical skills and foster their creative and independent practice. Students will learn how to use the SLR, DSLR, photographic studio and darkroom. Students will also study lighting ratios and learn about various lighting equipment, health and safety in the studio, building and maintaining client relationships and shooting and editing moving image. The course will also allow students to explore the world of photography further, through researching photography history and materials/processes application, as well as exploring ways of presenting design ideas using digital media.
The HND in Photography offers you the unique opportunity to develop your own signature style and visual language in the creation of a professional photography portfolio. This course will be delivered in a brand new professional photographic suite in a new state of the art Creative Enterprise Campus in Ware.
This two year programme explores analytical and critical approaches to photographic imagery, together with the study of the critical context of photography. At the end of the course you will be expected to create a professional portfolio of work to assist you in pursuing a successful career in the industry.
