What do I need to bring?

Students should bring their own chair to work on, this should be a simple chair with a fixed upholstered seat and back - not a removable seat cushion and no upholstered arms or wings. The upholstery can be in any condition but please check the chair is structurally sound; the joints are not loose or broken.

Students are also advised to bring a notebook with plain paper and a camera (a phone with a camera is more than sufficient).

Upholstery tools will be provided for use within the workshop, advice and guidance can be given if you wish to purchase your own kit.
