This course will teach you the theory and practical skills necessary for you to achieve successful photographs, progressing gently to more advanced techniques.
You will need to bring a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera to the class.

What will I be doing?
Term 1: Taught theory and practical skills, including use of shutter speed, aperture and depth of field.
Term 2 and 3: Practice the theoretical skills taught in term 1 on a variety of settings, i.e. still life, cityscape, landscape, motion and night photography. The focus will be on taking good quality, creative photographs using the camera rather than editing techniques. There may be an element of photographic manipulation using Photoshop on a Mac computer.
Added Extras
There may be an opportunity for on location shoots, particularly in the third term.
Entry requirements
This course is progressive, for courses starting in:
September - There are no entry requirements.
January - You must have completed term 1 (September).
April - You must have completed term 1 (September) and term 2 (January).
What do I need to bring?
A DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera is essential.
Fee Information
£125 for each of the 10 week blocks.
